The Three Little Pigs.....Plus Mama Pig.....

So while Papa Ron was at the neighbors looking for treasures, the neighbor offered to throw these pigs in on the deal. Wow...don't you wish you got these kind of bargins at your yard sales? Papa Ron came home and said "Guess what? We have three little pigs and their mama (who is due with another litter of piglets in February)." So we now have pigs added to our little farm herd. Papa Ron better watch out, cause Nana is thinking about buying some more goats and chickens to add to the family. Meet our new farm animals:

And I need a name for the last 2 little white pigs. Can you think of a name for them?

This is what a farmer does when he gets out of the hospital. That's right...Papa Ron spent the night in the hospital for observation of what they thought was a heart problem. They ran several tests and released him this morning, just in time to come home and jump on the tractor to unload these fine treasures purchased from a neighbor. You see, every farmer should have a chute for his cattle and a hammermill to grind grain with. They both are older than he is, but heck, they were a great price! Gotta watch our pennies and nickles these days.

This is one of Rags' favorite bones. It's bigger than he is. You oughta see him carry it around! Isn't he the cutest little white dog you've ever seen?

Just Another Day on the Farm!

We brought 11 new heifers home yesterday to add to our herd. Last weekend we cleaned the manure out of the corrals to make room for new stuff....fun!

Hot off the press! I just got these pics of our newest addition....Niran. He has changed since I was there just a couple of weeks ago. I hear he went trick-or-treatn' with his cousins and slept most of the way. Nice......
