As Technology Would Have It......

You know that really nice digital camera that Brandi longs for? I had to take it back to the store yesterday for repairs. As you can see from the previous Christmas tree shot, it looks like I'm looking through a tube and standing on something to take the picture. I'm going to have to use my 35mm in the mean time......ugh! Never thought I would say that. As much as I loved my 35mm, I have fallen in love with my digital camera. Maybe I just need to buy a "cheapy" to get me through this time....no, I'll just wait it out and use my old reliable. I've never had any problems with a camera until now.......Technology! Oh, you may ask "what's up with the Toucan"? It's just a picture from the "sample pictures" and I wanted to post something new to look at.

Christmas Eve Morning

This is to the west of our home. Look at the beautiful colors in the sky. Pink, purple and blue. It was a frosty morning and everything had frost on it. It was 0 degrees when I took these this morning.

These are the trees just south of our property. The sun was coming up and the sky was orange.

Rags' Christmas Present

Ron bought this stuffed dog for Rags for Christmas. He loves his new little buddy but it is almost as big as he is and has trouble carrying it around with him. He likes to play chase with us. The life of a dog!

Our Christmas Tree

This is our lonely little Christmas tree with one present under it. I mailed everything else to the kids. Rags has his Christmas present from Ron beside it. Yes, Ron bought Rags a present. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Wow....What a View!

We decided to come home through the Mule Creek Canyon route instead of the interstate. It was a beautiful drive. We caught up with the interstate at Soccorro and then stopped in Albuquerque to spend the night and travel home to Colorado the next day. We got caught in the I-25 snowstorm at Monument Pass (the storm dumped 18 inches of snow) and was backed up for 6 hours! Normally it is a 2 hour drive from Colorado Springs.

Bath Time

Of course Nana had to give Case a bath while she was there. No more baths in the sink! He has his own private tub with toys attached!

Case with Papa Ron and Nana.....

Do you think this kid got much attention while we were there for Thanksgiving? He has the biggest smile and is very social (he gets that from me)!

Dirty Dog!

While we were at my son's home for Thanksgiving, Rags got to be a dog and play in the dirt. It was hard to keep him clean so I just let him get dirty and I gave him a bath before our trip home.
