More Fun Times on the Farm
My friend, Joyce, has been wanting to come to the farm and bring her granddaughter to see all the baby animals. We are so popular especially in the Spring time. So here is Joyce and Emma.

Spring Snow Storm
If you've been listening to the news, Colorado got socked in with a Spring Snow. It was much needed and welcomed as it has been really dry. I'm just glad I can stay home and enjoy it from the comforts of my home. I stuck this ruler into the snow right outside our back door. It measured 10 inches. Take a look at these great pics:

Project: Baby Bottle Adoption
We lost a baby calf this week so instead of letting the cow dry up, Ron decided to stop by the local dairy and see if they had any newborn calves. The bottle on the left is a 5 oz baby bottle and the one on the right is a 4 pint nursing bottle.
And here is the end result of our project. It may take a few more days to get her adjusted to her new baby, but she seems to be adopting to the idea and he loves it! Fresh warm milk any time of the day!
This is what Ron brought home for us to see if the new mama would take the calf. I haven't named him yet....so I thought I would let the kids give him a name. So kids, what do you think this cute little guy should be called?

Blogging Facts and Guidelines....
Okay everyone, listen up. I will be the first to admit that I am not the best at updating my blogspot, but there are a few of you out there with blogspots of your own that have not updated in quite some time. You know who you are......I won't reveal who you are, but here at the latest dates: Check out "My Favorite Daughter's Website" last updated February 9; check out "Brenda's Special Place" last updated March 1 and then there is her daughter's blogspot, last updated February 27.
I know you all have something to say and share with us. Aren't you looking for those comments back at ya? It keeps me entertained during the day when I can check in and see what you are up to and how much the kiddo's have grown, and the funny things they are doing, and what's going on....and.....and...you get my drift? (I feel like I'm cheating when I look at Jana's blogspot (daily) to see what her family is up to.....she's entertaining!)
So......with that said, look for my newest "going on's" to be posted.

Saturday Play Time
We had friends that came to play on the farm on Saturday and to see the animals. Leah and Rachel are the daughters of my friend, Tammi. Rachel is the same age as my Caitlyn, and Brandi used to babysit Leah when she was an infant.

This is Leah on the left and Rachel on the right.

The girls love Snipper, our 10 year old mare. Rachel made a promise to ride her the next time she came to visit.

They loved the 3 little pigs: Wilbur, Jenny and Hambone. After we visited the animals, I took the girls down to my scapbooking room and we made cards from their pictures. Rachel kept telling me what great ideas I had, and how much fun it was to come to my house. When their mom got here to pick them up, they didn't want to leave. Next time (maybe) you can spend the night and we can have an all-night scrapbooking party (like the big girls)! Thanks for coming to spend the day with me. I had a really great (exhausting) time!
